PARALELL VIENNA is a satellite fair and curated exhibition that remains true to its principle of using abandoned property in the city centre as a presentation platform for contemporary art. It’s taking place for the forth time in Vienna parallel to viennacontemporary. PARALELL VIENNA chooses galleries, artists and curators and additionally invites project spaces which fit into the overall concept. PARALELL VIENNA pools the urban forces of contemporary art production and offers an insight into different scenes, communities and areas of Vienna.

We all take influence on the structure, seen as a collection of human actions. The beautiful things of life are essential for our well-being and an important part of this nexus. Nevertheless, a certain impuissance in respect of repetitive and complex patterns of our time is noticeable. Is a self-reflection of the own structures desired or are they in a sort also places of laziness, an imposed comfort zone, which let us almost accept the own entanglement without resistance? The INTO THE STRUCTURE series is a collection of questions without precise answers, a restless occupation with personal impressions and information we are confronted with.

This, 3rd issue of pseudoscienza – art magazine is about surprises. It investigates the surprise factor in the era of oversaturated media feeds and general consumerism – from terrorist attacks, political populism, conspiracy and emotional pornography to our intimate and personal surprise factor, which artists would like to cherish un-condemned from the daily hysteria and share it with the public in the most authentic way.
